3...2...1 MURPH


Ah yes, Murph. The epitome of Summertime Crossfit Challenges. Typically held on Memorial Day weekend, Crossfit boxes globally will endure one of the most physically demanding WODs designed.


As written, the WOD consists of 1 Mile Run to start the workout. As if that isn't demanding enough, you then chip your way through 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups and 300 air squats. Some may choose to work through this in rounds of Cindy. Cindy is written as 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 air squats. So you'll do that for 20 rounds.... Oh wait, there's more. Back outside you go for ANOTHER mile run.


To say you've done Murph is respectable in many ways. Not only are you paying your respects to a fallen Navy Lieutenant, but you're one of thousands of other Crossfitters globally to demolish a brutal workout. Hold your head high as you cross the line wrapping up your final mile run, you earned your cold beer and cheeseburger for the day!
